Hi, I’m RB. Sometimes, the wilderness feels like coming home to me; if I’m not out backpacking or hiking, I’m probably “grilling” out back just to be near the fire! I’ve always been drawn to the woods and, after a brief tour in the US Army, I hit the Appalachian Trail. This was definitely one of the most profound experiences of my life – feeling immersed in nature balanced me in ways that continue to ground me. When I’m not outside, I channel my inner wilderness streak through carpentry and drafting endless versions of the 10’x12′ cabin floor-plan.
I try to combine my passion for being in nature with the work of promoting healthy minds. Many of the people I work with feel an intuitive connection to nature. And, while no two of us are alike, there are often elements of it to which we can all relate. From immediate physical benefits like the quintessential breath of fresh air to the way you feel about your life, we are all impacted by the very nature around us.
If you feel something is missing for you, consider adding a strong dose of nature to your week.
“Keep calm and go outside”
